New Opel Astra Pricing: Stable Costs, Real Upgrades

Opel launches its new Astra with unchanged pricing but some notable upgrades. The electric compact gains 34 km of range to hit 454 km WLTP, while prices start at €32,650 for the hybrid and €38,990 for the electric.
"The new Astra Electric delivers up to 454 km WLTP range with its 58 kWh battery" — Opel France
Shown at the Brussels Auto Show, the new Opel Astra is now available on the French configurator—no price increases. Opel's betting on price stability to keep its compact competitive in a ruthless market.

A Multi-Energy Lineup That Expands
The Astra 2026 comes in four distinct powertrains. The 145 hp mild hybrid kicks things off at €32,650, followed by the 1.5 diesel with 130 hp at €33,550. The plug-in hybrid jumps to 196 hp with a 1.6 block and starts at €40,600, delivering 84 km of electric range.
The fully electric version keeps its 156 hp but gets a bigger battery—now 58 kWh gross. This upgrade nets you 34 km more range, hitting 454 km in the mixed WLTP cycle.

Design and Tech Tweaks
Opel's Vizor design language lands on the Astra with an illuminated Blitz badge. Two fresh colors join the palette: Kontur White and Klover Green. 17 and 18-inch alloy wheels add a sportier edge.
The Intelli-Lux HD lighting system with 50,000 LED elements is now optional. This adaptive setup promises sharp visibility without blinding oncoming traffic.

Pricing by Trim Level
Four trims structure the lineup. The Edition brings adaptive cruise control, a 10-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, and the illuminated grille. Business adds a 180° reversing camera and navigation.
The GS trim includes dual-zone climate and power-folding mirrors. Ultimate rounds out the range with head-up display, Matrix LED headlights, and semi-autonomous driving.
One Lingering Weak Spot
Despite the improvements, the electric Astra has one stubborn flaw: fast charging tops out at 100 kW. That's pale next to what family EVs are pulling off these days. Opel sweetens the deal with an 11 kW AC onboard charger included as standard.

The Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function lets you power external gear—e-bikes and such—adding another trick to the electric Astra's arsenal. Intelli-Seats now outfit the entire range, with AGR certification on higher trims.
Production stays in Rüsselsheim, Germany. Opel's banking on that European advantage against Asian makers flooding the compact EV segment. Stable prices and targeted upgrades—that's Opel's play to hold ground in an increasingly cutthroat market.
