Alpine A110 R Ultime: The €265k Farewell Before the Electric Era
The Alpine A110 is concluding its petrol career with the €265,000 A110 R Ultime, limited to 110 units, before transitioning to electric by late 2026. In parallel, the French brand reveals radical tuner versions like the €295k Ravage Tarmac Master, while the future electric A110 takes shape on the APP platform for a 2027 launch.
"We've just created the A110 of our dreams with this Ultime version" — Philippe Krief, director of Alpine
The A110 R Ultime: The €265k Petrol-Powered Apotheosis
Alpine is closing the petrol chapter of its icon with the A110 R Ultime, limited to 110 units and priced at €265,000. This final version pushes refinement to the extreme with a specifically developed DCT6 gearbox, 20 kg lighter than the old 7-speed. The 1.8-litre turbo engine still produces 300 hp, but torque climbs to 420 Nm thanks to new forged connecting rods from GT4 racing.
Fully adjustable Öhlins TTX suspension equips this ultimate variant, accompanied by forged 18 and 19-inch wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres developed specifically for this version. The active aerodynamics generates 124 kg of additional downforce at the front compared to the A110 R.
When Will Production of the Petrol A110 Stop?
Production of the petrol-powered Alpine A110 will definitively cease in June 2026. After nearly 30,000 units produced since 2017, the berlinette takes its final bow to make way for a new 100% electric generation. The final 1,750 units are currently rolling off the production lines at the Dieppe factory.

Ravage Tarmac Master: When Extreme Meets Exclusivity
The French tuner Ravage offers an even more radical interpretation with the Tarmac Master. Based on the A110 R Ultime, this series of 10 units priced at €295,000 pushes technical limits. The tracks widened by 50 mm at the front and 90 mm at the rear bring the total width to 1.91 m.
The four-cylinder receives a new turbo and develops 320 hp on standard fuel, 345 hp with SP102. Mass remains under 1,100 kg despite the modifications. The chassis gets specific Öhlins TTX suspension and AP Racing brakes with 330 mm discs on all four wheels.

The Electric A110: Revolution on the APP Platform
The future electric Alpine A110 will be based on the APP (Alpine Performance Platform), shared with the Renault 5 Turbo 3E. This 100% aluminium architecture promises rigidity twice that of the current petrol A110 while maintaining the lightweight objective.
The new electric berlinette will offer two electric motors with torque vectoring, an 800V architecture, and two battery capacities. Alpine also confirms the arrival of a 2+2 version and a Spider. A surprise remains possible with the retention of a petrol version on this same platform.
What Will Alpine's Strategy Be Facing Electrification?
François Provost, CEO of Renault, is adopting a cautious strategy. Alpine's international expansion is suspended to focus on profitability in the French, German, and British markets. This approach contrasts with the previous ambitions of Luca de Meo, who aimed for seven models and a presence in North America.

Extreme Tuner Versions and Collectors
The Alpine A110 collector's market is heating up. A 1970 A110 1300 G in the rare "Jaune Rédélé" colour will be auctioned by RM Sotheby's on April 25th in Monaco. The estimate reaches €120,000 for this berlinette with exceptional pedigree, raced in competition by the Écurie Jean Behra.
Official tuner versions like the Tarmac Master fit into this dynamic.
