Land Rover brings back its nostalgia card with the Range Rover Sport SV Ultimate Edition. This limited series of 500 units, priced at 145,995 pounds sterling, revives the iconic Velocity Blue Gloss shade from the original 2015 SVR. Only British customers will be able to get their hands on one.

The cabin plays it safe with perforated Windsor leather in Light Cloud and Ebony tones. This premium hide comes paired with the 29-speaker Meridian audio system and the famous "Body and Soul" seats with integrated sensory audio tech.

Same engine, same chassis as the standard SV

Under the bonnet sits the 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 mild-hybrid packing 626 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque. Performance figures are identical to the regular SV: 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and 290 km/h flat out.

The 6D Dynamics hydraulically-linked suspension borrowed from the Defender Octa equips this Ultimate Edition too. The system drastically cuts pitch and roll through corners, braking, and acceleration.

Pricing that raises eyebrows

The Ultimate Edition costs 145,995 pounds sterling—that's 6,000 quid less than the SV Black and SV Carbon. That pricing strategy begs the question: what's the actual pecking order here? Land Rover seems to be betting on digital exclusivity over maximum kit.
