Porsche introduces its all-electric Cayenne lineup in three variants: the base model at 442 hp, the Turbo at 1,156 hp, and now a new intermediate S Electric delivering 666 hp. This fresh addition starts at €129,200 in France, positioning itself as the balanced answer between power and price.

"With 666 hp in overboost and 3.8 seconds for 0-100 km/h, the Cayenne S Electric proves you can have serious power without sliding into the Turbo's excess" — Porsche AG

Devilishly calibrated power

The Cayenne S Electric develops 544 hp (400 kW) under normal conditions, but scales to 666 hp (490 kW) via Launch Control. This demonic horsepower catapults the SUV from 0-100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds with a top speed of 250 km/h.

All-wheel drive relies on dual electric motors, one per axle. The rear motor benefits from direct oil cooling—a technology inherited from the Turbo version that dissipates heat directly from current-carrying components. This engineering solution prevents overheating during sustained high-performance driving on track.

💡 Technical Point
Direct oil cooling of the rear electric motor improves efficiency under high load through a silicon carbide power inverter.

Record range for the family

With its 113 kWh battery, shared across the range, the Cayenne S Electric claims the best autonomy in the lineup: 653 km under WLTP cycle. That's 11 km ahead of the base model and 30 km more than the Turbo variant.

Rapid charging reaches 400 kW on compatible chargers, enabling 10-80% charge in under 16 minutes. The dual-port charging system features a DC inlet on the driver side for fast charging and an AC inlet on the passenger side.

What does the Cayenne S Electric cost?

The Cayenne S Electric starts at €129,200 net in France—€21,600 more than the base model at €107,600. It remains, however, €38,000 cheaper than the Turbo Electric priced at €167,200. In Belgium, pricing begins at €130,000 according to local sources.

This middle variant positions itself astutely against rivals like the BMW iX M70 xDrive, starting at €114,305 according to British sources.

Features borrowed from the Turbo sibling

The Cayenne S Electric can be equipped with options previously reserved for the Turbo. Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) sharpens cornering precision by managing power distribution to each wheel. Active Ride suspension and composite ceramic brakes complete the performance arsenal.

The Sport Chrono package adds a push-to-pass function unleashing 121 additional hp for 10 seconds, plus Track mode that preconditions the battery to minimize performance degradation during repeated high-load use.

The Cayenne S Electric's push-to-pass function draws inspiration directly from Formula E, where drivers can temporarily activate a power boost.

Design that whispers distinction

Visually, the Cayenne S Electric differentiates itself through front and rear bumpers with elements painted in Volcano Grey Metallic. The exclusive 20-inch Aero wheels are unique to this version, while 21-inch wheels remain available as an option.

The interior adheres to the range's design language with the curved Flow Display, 14.25-inch digital instrumentation, and 14.9-inch passenger screen. A fresh touch arrives in the Style Package developed by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, featuring notably new green accents.

When will it arrive?

Cayenne S Electric deliveries begin in summer 2026. Porsche plans to sell this new variant alongside remaining gasoline and plug-in hybrid rechargeable models in the catalog. This expanded lineup strategy targets clientele still hesitant about committing entirely to electric power.
