Lamborghini Temerario GT3: Promising Sebring Debut and Future Variants
The new Lamborghini Temerario GT3 makes its debut at the 12 Hours of Sebring, marking Lamborghini's entry into a new era of competition. This third-generation GT3 succeeds the Huracán GT3, becoming the first race car entirely designed and developed in-house by Squadra Corse in Sant'Agata Bolognese.

A Technical Revolution Under the Hood
The Temerario GT3 uses the 4.0-liter Twin-Turbo V8 from the road car, but in a radically different configuration. Unlike the hybrid supercar that produces 920 horsepower, the GT3 loses its three electric motors and its hybrid system to comply with GT3 regulations.
More surprising: even without hybridization, the V8 remained too powerful. Lamborghini therefore replaced the large turbochargers with smaller versions, specially adapted for competition. This modification, combined with a new air intake and a redesigned Capristo exhaust, optimizes the rev range for racing use.
Promising Debut at Sebring
The Canadian team Pfaff Motorsports fields the only Temerario GT3 present at the 12 Hours of Sebring 2026. The trio of Andrea Caldarelli, Sandy Mitchell, and Franck Perera qualified the car in 13th position in the GTD Pro category.
This modest performance was expected according to Andrea Caldarelli: "There are too many variables to hope for competitiveness, let alone perfection" during the first outings of a new GT3. The team has completed 10,000 miles of preparatory testing in Europe and the United States.
A Design Optimized for Racing
The carbon fiber bodywork results from a collaboration between the Lamborghini Centro Stile and the Squadra Corse aerodynamics team. Every element aims for optimal balance, regardless of driving conditions.
Technical modifications include a simplified aluminum chassis with an integrated FIA-homologated roll cage. The front and rear sections are quickly removable to speed up repairs during race weekends. This pragmatic approach contrasts with Lamborghini's past, historically less involved in competition.
The Legacy of the Huracán GT3
The Huracán GT3 takes its final bow after a prolific decade (2015-2025). This second-generation GT3 made history with its 200 victories and 99 titles, from the 2024 DTM to the 2025 24 Hours of Spa.
Pfaff Motorsports knows the GT3 world well but has struggled since its departure from Porsche. The team has been winless since 2023, securing only three podiums in 28 months. The switch to official Lamborghini status could bring the necessary technical stability.
When Will the Sportier Variants Arrive?
The Performante and STO versions are not yet on the agenda. Stephan Winkelmann, CEO of Lamborghini, clarifies that "the priority remains the coupe versions, the open-top variants, and the classic higher-performance versions" of the range.
However, a Temerario Sterrato could see the light of day. The unexpected success of the Huracán Sterrato opened this possibility. "It was an idea I wanted to realize for over ten years," confides Winkelmann about this all-terrain supercar concept.
The Sensational 7Design Kit
While waiting for official versions, 7Design already offers an 18-piece carbon kit for the road-going Temerario. This bodykit draws direct inspiration from the STO aesthetic with triangular air intakes, a front splitter, and a massive rear wing.

This aftermarket interpretation shows the market's appetite for more radical Temerarios. The kit completely transforms the appearance of the hybrid supercar, bringing it visually closer to a
