Lamborghini Revuelto: Wild Builds and Wild Stories

The Lamborghini Revuelto has been racking up extravagant builds and off-the-wall stories since its launch. Between Novitec's kit paying homage to the 1993 Diablo SE30 with a purple hue straight out of a Jamiroquai music video, Mansory's Carbonado X one-off built for a Dubai client, and repeated crashes of near-new examples, this 1,001-hp hybrid V12 at €500,000 to €560,000 simply won't stop making headlines.
"Nearly a million tiny pieces of wood cut, sanded, adjusted, and glued to recreate the Revuelto's aggressive edges." — Sport Auto, on Vietnamese woodworker Truong Van Dao
Novitec Revives the Diablo Purple — And It's No Coincidence
German tuner Novitec has unveiled its take on the Revuelto with a color that's impossible to miss. This deep purple shade directly pays homage to the Lamborghini Diablo SE30, a special edition launched in 1993 for the brand's 30th anniversary. But there's an extra layer to the story: that purple Diablo became iconic thanks to its appearance in Jamiroquai's 1996 music video for "Cosmic Girl." In other words, this isn't just a random color from a swatch book — it's a reference that brand fans will recognize instantly.
Novitec didn't stop at a respray. The package includes a wind-tunnel-developed body kit, almost entirely in exposed carbon fiber: a redesigned front splitter, aerodynamic add-ons on the bumper, a carbon hood, more sculpted side skirts, mirror caps, and inserts on the scissor doors. A retractable rear spoiler completes the look. All of it aims to improve stability beyond the 350 km/h the Revuelto is supposed to hit on paper.
On the wheel front, Novitec partnered with Vossen — as usual — for forged alloys in 21 inches at the front and 22 inches at the rear, available in 72 color combinations. Sport springs drop the ride height by about 25 mm.
How Much Power Does the Novitec Kit Add?
The mechanical side wasn't ignored either. With a new exhaust and reworked catalytic converters, Novitec extracts 33 extra hp from the 6.5L V12. The total climbs to around 1,048 hp. The electric side was left untouched — a deliberate choice by the tuner, according to Motor1. Can you feel those 33 extra horses on a 1,001-hp base? Honestly, probably not in the seat. But with that new exhaust, you'll definitely hear them.
Mansory Carbonado X: When Dubai Orders a Full-Carbon One-Off
Novitec is restrained tuning. Mansory is something else entirely. The Carbonado X is a one-off, built for a client in Dubai and destined for Mansory's showroom in the city. It borrows the name and spirit of the old Carbonado based on the Aventador, but transposed onto the Revuelto.
The bodywork is completely redone in matte forged carbon fiber. Front bumper, specific hood, side skirts with deflectors, enlarged side air intakes, roof scoop — only the lights and glass survive mostly intact, according to Carscoops. At the rear, a worked diffuser and a retractable carbon spoiler. The exhaust features three triangular outlets, giving a pretty radical three-quarter view.
Mechanically, Mansory claims to exceed 1,100 hp thanks to a high-performance exhaust. The interior gets dark Alcantara and turquoise blue accents. The wheels are forged, large, and very present. The result? Something that looks like a video game concept that escaped the lab.
