The new Xiaomi SU7 hits hard: over 900 km of range and 15,000 orders in 34 minutes. This Chinese electric sedan, preparing for its European launch in 2027, posts record performance thanks to an 897-volt architecture and next-gen batteries. The immediate success confirms the growing appeal of this Tesla rival.

Xiaomi never drags its feet on deliveries. The brand just proved it's mastered the art of the automotive launch with this SU7 V2. Unveiled on March 19, 2026, this next-generation electric sedan has already won over Chinese customers at a record pace. And this is just the beginning.

A Spectacular Technical Evolution

You know what? Xiaomi nailed it with this update. The SU7 V2 isn't just a cosmetic refresh. Under this bodywork that stays true to the original design, a real technical revolution is happening. The electrical architecture takes a giant leap: the Standard and Pro versions move up to 752 volts, while the Max climbs to 897 volts.

💡 Le saviez-vous ?
This 897-volt rating places the SU7 Max in the ultra-high voltage category, on par with the most advanced electric supercars on the market.

This voltage increase enables mind-blowing charging performance. Xiaomi claims the Max version recovers 670 km of range in just 15 minutes of fast charging. That's Porsche Taycan level, but for a Chinese price of 303,900 yuan (about $43,950).

Range That Pushes the Limits

Range is where it gets interesting. The Pro version now boasts 902 km on the Chinese CLTC cycle, 67 km more than the previous generation. On the European WLTP cycle, we can expect over 750 km, putting this sedan in the world's leading pack.

All three versions benefit from new batteries: 73 kWh for the Standard, 96.3 kWh for the Pro, and 101.7 kWh for the Max. All adopt CTB (cell-to-body) technology, where the cells become structural and contribute to chassis rigidity.

A Completely Revised Chassis

The new Dragon Chassis deserves a closer look. Xiaomi opted for a sophisticated architecture: double wishbone at the front and multi-link at the rear. On the higher-end versions, an adaptive air suspension capable of anticipating road conditions completes the package.

⚙️ Point technique
The driving assistance system packs a 700 TOPS (operations per second) chip, equivalent to the computing power of a high-performance computer.

This SU7 V2 standardizes technologies previously reserved for the high-end: roof-mounted LiDAR, 4D radar, Nvidia Thor-U platform. The Xiaomi HAD system promises superior-level assisted driving.

When Will It Arrive in Europe?

The European launch is scheduled for 2027. Prototypes have already been spotted in France and Austria, a sign that Xiaomi is seriously testing its cars on our roads. The brand will have to contend with European import duties, which is why the Chinese price of €28,000 (Standard version) is unlikely to be maintained here.

Competition is already gearing up. Facing the Tesla Model 3 and the BYD Seal, this Xiaomi SU7 could well reshuffle the cards in the accessible premium electric sedan market.

An Unwavering Success

After 380,000 units sold of the first generation in two years, this V2 is starting on the same footing. The 30,000 orders mark was reportedly crossed on March 23rd. And that's just in China!

📊 Chiffre clé
Current production runs at 800 vehicles per day, with a target of 16,000 units for March 2026.
