Leapmotor B10 OTA Update: One-Pedal Driving & CarPlay

Six months after launch, the Leapmotor B10 is getting a major OTA software update that transforms the driving experience. On the menu: one-pedal driving, native Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a smarter interface — all without visiting a dealership.
"This OTA update arrives just six months after the B10 SUV's launch, underscoring the company's commitment to rapid and meaningful software evolution" — Stellantis Media
Rollout kicked off in February 2026 for all B10 owners. A notification pops up on your screen, you tap accept, and boom — your car updates itself sitting in your garage. Just like your smartphone, except this one has four wheels and a trunk.

One-Pedal Driving: Finally Here
Good news: the One-Pedal function is finally coming to the B10. For those who've never experienced it, it's straightforward: you accelerate with the right pedal, lift off your foot, and the car brakes itself through energy recovery. In the city, it stops dead without even touching the brake pedal.
I tested the system for a week: Leapmotor really dialed in the recovery curve. No weird jerks like on some Chinese EVs I've driven. It brakes progressively, respects your spine and your passengers'. And here's the kicker — range climbs mechanically since you're recovering energy over a larger chunk of your trips.
CarPlay and Android Auto: Here at Last
Now we're fixing a real gap the B10 had. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are finally here, both wired AND wireless. No more wrestling with the Chinese interface for music or navigation — your iPhone or Samsung takes control of the central screen.
Frankly, this was the B10's biggest weak point at launch. Customers were demanding Waze and Spotify from day one. Now it's sorted, you get your usual habits back without learning a new system. It works flawlessly — I tested it with an iPhone 14 and a Galaxy S24.

Snappier Interface, Finally
The interface gains responsiveness with this update. The system now boots in 3-4 seconds thanks to Quick Start, which preloads main apps. Before, you'd sit there like an idiot waiting 15 seconds for it to wake up.
Neat feature: steering wheel buttons are now customizable. You can program your own shortcuts to driving aids or driving modes. Handy for avoiding menu diving while moving. Navigation also offers split-screen display — map on the left, something else on the right. Reminds you of what Tesla does, just less show-offy.
Driver Aids That Don't Annoy
The B10's assistance systems gain finesse with this update. The adaptive cruise control (ACC) and lane-centering (LCC) anticipate situations better now. Especially in corners where the system now decelerates with more precision — fewer brutal brake hits that slam you against your seat.
📋 Fiche technique
The occupancy detection has also been overhauled. The system better recognizes if you've left your kid or dog in the car. Alerts are more reliable, fewer false alarms.
What's Next?
Stellantis and Leapmotor are staying quiet about the timeline for future OTA updates. But this first wave shows these guys get it: a modern car needs to evolve like a smartphone, not like a washing machine.
The B10 joins the very exclusive club of "living" cars. You buy a product that improves over time, without setting foot in a dealership. It's reassuring for the investment — your ride won't become obsolete in two years.

This update is the real maturity test for Leapmotor in Europe. The Chinese are showing they know how to evolve their products quickly — a huge advantage against European makers who are still dragging their feet on software. The B10 fixes its main flaws from youth.
