Ford Puma: €199/month Lease, 417km Electric Range & Premium Audio

Ford Puma: with its €199 per month lease and its electric offering boasting a range of 417 km, the small American SUV is betting on an attractive price-performance ratio. The lineup expands with a Sound Edition equipped with a 650 W B&O audio system and advanced driver aids to appeal to an urban clientele seeking efficiency.
"650 W and custom calibration: the result, according to Ford, is a true 'soundstage' inside the cabin" — Harman/Ford Engineers
The Ford Puma stands out in an ultra-competitive segment thanks to an aggressive pricing strategy. The €199 per month lease offer over 37 months (with an initial payment of €3,290) places the hybrid SUV below the psychological barrier of 200 euros per month. A calculated positioning to make a model accessible, one that racked up 17,000 sales in France last year.
Electric Version: Range on the Rise
The Puma Gen-E benefits from a power boost for 2026. Ford upgrades the battery from 43 kWh to 46.8 kWh usable, increasing the range from 376 km to 417 km in the WLTP cycle. This improvement addresses initial criticism about a capacity deemed limited compared to the competition.
The electric motor with 165 hp and 290 Nm of torque retains its performance with a 0 to 100 km/h time of 7.4 seconds. Fast charging remains capped at 100 kW, which brings the 10 to 80% recharge time to 26 minutes (compared to 23 minutes previously due to the larger battery).
Sound Edition: The Cabin Transformed into an Auditorium
The Sound Edition represents the culmination of Ford's work on the in-car audio experience. The B&O Premium Sound system is upgraded to 650 W distributed across 10 speakers, with new mid-bass units in the front doors. This configuration aims to create a "soundstage" rather than just a simple power boost.
The calibration was done specifically for each version - combustion and electric - to account for the acoustic differences between the two powertrains. The goal: to maintain controlled sound reproduction even at high volume, a technical challenge for a B-segment SUV. Bang & Olufsen's Beosonic function allows adjusting the sound profile according to four parameters: Excited, Relaxed, Warm, and Powerful.
Equipment and Practicality: The Daily Arguments
In Titanium trim, the Puma displays a level of equipment consistent with its price: touchscreen compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, driver aids, rearview camera, and LED headlights. The major asset remains the trunk with its MegaBox, which optimizes loading volume for a 4.19-meter SUV.

The chassis prioritizes dynamism with precise steering and reassuring road manners. The 1.0 EcoBoost Hybrid 125 hp combines a three-cylinder gasoline engine with mild hybridization (mHEV) to contain consumption without sacrificing daily performance.
What's the Price by Version?
📋 Fiche technique
Faced with the competition, the Puma Gen-E is priced at €36,990 in the base version, which is €1,500 less than a base Volvo EX30. However, the Volkswagen ID.3 remains cheaper with a 52 kWh battery compared to Ford's 46.8 kWh. The Puma's pricing strategy bets on complete equipment rather than record-breaking battery capacity.
