Dacia Logan Returns to France in Restyled Form

The Dacia Logan is making a comeback in France after exiting the market at the end of 2023. This restyled three-box sedan is available thanks to Borel, a company specializing in LPG conversions, with prices expected between 16,000 and 19,000 euros. It gets the new 120-hp Eco-G engine and the latest styling upgrades from the range.
"The rear trunk claims 528 liters VDA, or even 628 in water capacity — an unbeatable cargo volume" — According to Caradisiac
Coming Back Through the Side Door
Don't bother stopping by your local Dacia dealer to order this restyled Logan. The diamond-badged brand never officially sold it in France and has no plans to start. Yet it's available here thanks to Borel, a company specializing in LPG and E85 vehicle conversion and homologation.
This approach gets you a brand-new Logan without importation hassles or grey-market dealers. Borel already offered the first phase of this generation and is doing it again with this freshly restyled 2025 version.
What's New in This Facelift
The Logan phase 2 inherits the same improvements as its cousin, the Sandero. On the menu: a redesigned grille, retouched front and rear bumpers, and modernized headlights. The cabin gets upgraded too, with improved equipment levels that catch up with current standards.
Under the hood, two engines are available. The 1.0 TCe with 100 hp is the base model, while the new 120-hp Eco-G engine running on LPG is the headline. The latter can be paired with a manual or automatic transmission.
What's the Price?
Official pricing hasn't been announced yet, but estimates hover around 16,000 euros for the base version. A well-equipped LPG variant could reach close to 19,000 euros, according to Borel's initial indications.
These prices stay competitive against the field, even though the Logan now sits well above its historical 7,500-euro launch price back in 2005.
Probably a Niche Success
The three-box sedan silhouette never really seduced French buyers, who overwhelmingly prefer hatchbacks or SUVs. That trend has only strengthened in recent years, pushing this body style into a niche market.
Still, the Logan has genuine strengths. Its 528-liter VDA trunk (628 liters in "water capacity") blows away most compact cars on the market. Its generous length also delivers rear-seat roominess above average.
The Legacy of an Iconic Model
The Logan will go down in history as the model that restarted Dacia's rise. Launched in July 2005, it transformed the Romanian maker from a fringe brand into a top-ten European automaker with 697,408 vehicles sold in 2024 and a 4.5% market share.
That sedan paved the way for the entire current lineup: Sandero (2008), Duster (2010), then Spring, Jogger, and Bigster. Its return to France, even quietly, shows how some customers still cherish this traditional body shape and what Dacia stands for — honest affordability.
