The Fiat Topolino goes orange for 2026. The little electric quadricycle — number one in European quadricycle sales in 2025 with 20% market share — welcomes a new shade called Orange Corallo and a dashboard display enlarged from 3.5 to 5.7 inches. Orders opened on February 13, 2026, with a starting price of €7,650 with financing, or €9,990 outright.

One More Color, One Less Version

Since its launch, the Topolino was only available in one shade: Verde Vita, that pastel green giving it a candy-like look in city streets. For 2026, Fiat adds Orange Corallo, a vibrant coral paired with a black roof and white hubcaps. The brand describes this color as "designed to brighten up the city even more," according to Automobile Propre. Hard to argue with that — it's at least more visible than the "Night Sepia" or black variants of the Citroën Ami.

What the press releases gloss over: the Dolcevita version — the one without doors, with ropes instead — disappears from the lineup. No more little boat-style cords, the range is streamlined. Two colors, one body style, that's it.

💡 Did you know?
The Fiat Topolino shares its technical base with the Citroën Ami — both belong to the Stellantis group. Fiat, however, completely redesigned the exterior, drawing inspiration from the round headlights and style of the 1950s Fiat 500.

The Screen Finally Grows Up

The Topolino's dashboard was frankly tiny: 3.5 inches, about the size of an old smartphone. For 2026, the display jumps to 5.7 inches, integrated into a total panel of 8.3 inches. Fiat promises simplified graphics, better readability, and a "lighter, more user-friendly" interface. In practice, that means speed and remaining range will finally be legible at a glance.

The Citroën Ami, by contrast, still makes do with a 3.9-inch screen. While we're not going to pretend a quadricycle limited to 45 km/h needs a Tesla-style cockpit, ergonomics still matter when you use the thing daily.

💡 Key figure
In 2025, the Fiat Topolino recorded 6,956 registrations in France, a +52.3% increase over 2024 — on a quadricycle market that shrank by 21% over the same period.

What It's Like in the Real World

On paper, 75 km of range from a 5.4 kWh battery is consistent for urban use. In reality, a city jaunt at 45 km/h, in winter with the heater on, you'll be looking at around 50-55 km. That's still enough for the vast majority of daily trips, but don't plan on circling the ring road.

Charging is via a standard household outlet — no dedicated wall box needed. It's clearly designed for people who come home at night and plug in their little car like they plug in their phone.

What Does It Really Cost?

The listed price depends on how you look at it: €7,650 with financing (orders opened February 13), €9,990 outright according to the German price list — that's €100 more than the Verde Vita version at €9,890. In France, a leasing offer is available from €59/month over 36 months with a €400 down payment.

The Topolino First, but Just Barely

Fiat claims "first place in the European quadricycle market in 2025," according to Caradisiac.
