Here is the before pictures of a 1975 MGB that I took on as a resto project from a nice couple in Il.She wants the car of her youth back ,he has never owned a british car.sharp learning curve!! Mostly just reassembling the new parts,I thought.Delivered with boot full and assorted boxes and baggies of new and used parts. This car was a botched V8 project!!! many conversions needed to put it together.

Exhaust system to be determined and 2 bad alternators, this was not a straight ahead endeavor..
Valve cover taped in place electronic ignition to come out.single stromberg to dual S.U.'s also
Because of the sketchy history of the clutch installation I decided to pull the lump apart to inspect the throw out bearing and disc. both were used and would not have lasted long.
Engine bay had been striped for the V-8 conversion that never happened after they realized that taking 2 " off the front springs would have the oil pan dragging on the "assfault"!!
Getting the facts as know from the current owners helped piece together the puzzle
With the boot pack with some goodies and some not so goodies,it took time to sort out the needed from the extras.
The intereior had been removed and new insulating pad in place and the dash still hooked up
Engine rebuilt, tranny in a wagon and the bits of 3 different cars in tow.
